Meet the Ukulele! You’ll get the basics, how to hold and tune, play chords and strum, play fun, easy tunes. Music with chord pictures and strum suggestions included. This workshop is for soprano, concert, and tenor ukes with G-C-E-A tuning.

Strums to Add Style to Your Playing. Learn how to add style to your strumming! We’ll take a few basic strums and create new strum patterns, then apply our strums to some fun, easy tunes. For soprano, concert, and tenor ukes with G-C-E-A tuning.

Celebrate the Music of Harry Belafonte with Ukulele and Pennywhistle. Join us as we explore the Island music of Harry Belafonte, known for his calypso music. We’ll have fun combining Ukulele and Pennywhistle as we learn some great island tunes!
Saturday 10:15-11:30
Pick a tune on Ukulele. Learn to read tablature, then we’ll find some easy finger-picking patterns to play instead of strumming on your ukulele to change your sound. Finger-picking basics and some patterns will be taught using some easy chord progressions and a tune or two. Everything will be tabbed for future reference.

Take the Lead in a Dulcimer Jam! Always wanted to start a tune on a ukulele in a jam? Want to be able to play the melody to get a tune started for singing? This workshop will get you there! Learn to play the melody for some classic jam tunes, how to switch from melody to strumming, & some jam “etiquette.” All will be tabbed for reference later! For soprano, concert, and tenor ukes with G-C-E-A tuning.

Celtic tunes for Ukulele and Pennywhistle- St. Patrick’s Day favorites! Learn some great Irish tunes with melody, harmony, chords and lyrics, strums and fun! We’ll learn and practice as many tunes as time allows!
